Baha'i scholar about the Babi laws

Some legalistic directives of the Bab are demanding, harsh, sometimes disturbing, and definitely revolutionary. Some may never have been intended to be carried out, though the Bab did expect his followers to obey or implement his new law and legalistic religious directives.
