'Abdu’l-Bahá used to drink castor oil to relieve constipation. This detail appears in the original Persian edition of the book but was left untranslated by Ahang Rabbani in the English version.

In the original Persian edition the omitted paragraph states:
حضرت عبدالبهاء گاهی اوقات محض تخلیه ی از فضول و اعتدال مزاج، فقط روغن کرچک را اختیار می فرمودند با پرهیز.
