Baha’u’llah led the prayers during Badasht conference

This was the first opportunity that the Babi movement had had to debate and consult about a number of issues: what it was that they stood for; how to achieve their goals in the face of a rising tide of opposition; and how to achieve the release of the Bab from his captivity in Maku. It is a measure of the prestige of Baha’u’llah among the Babis that, despite the presence at this gathering of many learned and prominent Babis, Baha’u’llah led the prayers during at least some of the conference.
