After the three deaths, Baha’u’llah revealed for the remainder of the party a short healing prayer

Soon all but two of the exiles were sick and nine of the ten guards set to watch over them also fell ill. No doctor was summoned. Malaria and dysentery added to their discomfort and distress. Three of the exiles died, two of them brothers who died in the same night, locked in each other’s arms. There was no money available to pay for their burial and the guards demanded money in advance before they would agree to move the bodies. Baha’u’llah gave to the guards a small carpet on which He Himself slept, His only remaining article of luxury, to pay for the burial expenses. These guards sold the carpet but kept the money for themselves. The corpses were buried without ceremony, unwashed and unshrouded, outside the Muslim cemetery even though the money obtained from the sale of the carpet was twice the amount necessary to pay for a decent burial.
